The Nursery Coordinator is responsible for keeping all our teams working together efficiently and effectively while providing plant care and customer service leadership. We're looking for an experienced gardener with knowledge of plants and their needs here in the high desert of Northern New Mexico. In addition to offering insight and advice to our customers and fellow gardeners, you'll be helping to oversee interdepartmental workflow among our grounds, garden, and retail staff. You'll also assist with cashiering and live inventory management, from ordering to intake. We are happy to train the right person.
Petree's Retail Professionals are great with people and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a team member, you'll be interacting with customers in person and on the phone, answering their basic questions, directing them to the appropriate experts and products, and ringing up their purchases. You'll also be helping maintain display areas and keeping the front showroom looking its best. You may be asked to help with some simple plant care and stocking of inventory as needed. Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems and credit card transactions are helpful but not required. We are happy to train the right person.
Our Grounds Specialists are hard workers, able to switch frequently from task to task as needed. Those who love to stay physically active and spend lots of time outdoors are well suited to a position on this crew. Responsibilities include loading and unloading inventory and larger purchases, property maintenance, and helping the Retail and Garden Teams when requested.
Plant & Garden Specialists are our plant people. Qualified candidates have a basic understanding of plants, their care, and the differences among them. Your gardening and/or horticultural background will be put to good use on this crew. This is a physically demanding position that requires a great deal of time on your feet in the heat of the season, and the ability to lift at least 40 pounds. Our customers always have lots of questions for the Garden Specialists, so people skills are important.
