Zone Info

For outdoor growing, it's essential to know your hardiness zone. How cold it gets in winter will affect which plants are likely to thrive in your area. Most of what we grow is suitable for USDA zone 4 or colder.

Be sure you have the following information when you're ready to shop.

Know your elevation. Taos County includes a range of elevations, usually between about 7,000 and 9,000 feet. Elevation can affect things like the length of your growing season and what types of plants and trees are best supported.

Know your surroundings and orientation. This will help to get an idea what the sun exposure is like where your new plants and trees will be living.

Choose from hundreds of varieties of annuals, perennials, vines, shrubs, trees and grasses, all carefully selected for their ability to live happily in and around the Enchanted Circle.
